Studio Lucidaの名前の由来は、カメラ・ルシダ（Camera Lucida）です。
今日のカメラの前身となるこの光学機器は、プリズムと鏡とレンズのみの単純なつくりで、画家が目の前のものを光を利用して正確に描き写すために用いられました。
ラテン語で「照らされた部屋」という意味をもつこの道具のように、Studio Lucidaは私たちの目の前にすでにある豊かな出来事や物、人に向き合い、光を通じて表現する装置です。

"Studio Lucida" derives its name from the Camera Lucida.
This optical device, a precursor to modern cameras, has a simple structure consisting only of a prism, mirror, and lens. It was used by artists to accurately trace what was in front of them by utilizing light.
Just like this tool, whose name means "illuminated room" in Latin, Studio Lucida is a device infused with aesthetics—one that engages with and expresses the richness of events, objects, and people already present before our eyes.
We have been involved in photography and film production in Japan and abroad since 2015. The scope of our work ranges from commercial, editorial, corporate, film, press, documentary, and fashion, and we have a diverse network of contacts in Japan.
We assign appropriately skilled and experienced members to projects and are a one-stop for inbound/outbound projects that require English.
